How to apply

Applying to become a Certified Management & Business Educator is straightforward. So long as you have the correct evidence to hand your application can take just 10 minutes.

Step 1. Check your eligibility

There are three 'routes' by which you can become a Certified Management & Business Educator.

  • Route A: Teaching qualification and experience

  • Route B: Extensive experience

  • Route C: Associate Management & Business Eligibility

Step 2. Prepare your evidence

When you have identifed the most suitible route you will need to collect the evidence that is required in the application form.

Once you have prepared your evidence you can begin your application.

What happens when I've submitted my application?

The CMBE aim to assess all applications within 7 days of them being submitted.

Approved applications

Once your CMBE application has been approved, you will be invited to pay your subscription fee.

If you are part of an Institutional subscription, you will not be asked to make payment. Instead, your subscription will automatically be activated.

Activated subscriptions

When the subscription fee has been paid your subscription will be activated and you will be provided with a certificate and will be able to use the CMBE designation after your name.

Your subscription will commence on the date on which it is activated and will run for a period of 12 months.

Rejected applications

If your application is rejected, you will receive an email with an explanation. Often the reason applications are rejected is because the applicant has uploaded insufficient/incorrect evidence. If this is the case, you will have the opportunity to reapply.
