Chartered ABS appoints Tania Vanburen as new Chair of the CMBE Professional Standards Board

The Chartered ABS is delighted to announce the appointment of Tania Vanburen as the new Chair of the CMBE Professional Standards Board.
Tania Vanburen is Executive Director, Education & Professional Practice at The Royal College of Radiologists and has been a member of the CMBE Professional Standards Board for three years.
On her appointment, Tania said:
“It has been a pleasure to have been a part of the evolution of the CMBE and see the community grow in its relatively short lifetime under the chairmanship of Adam Harper. There is much further to go and more we can do to build on the solid foundation that has been developed, and I look forward to continuing to work with the CMBE Professional Standards Board to assure and showcase excellence within the business and management educator field globally.”
Barney Roe, Director of Communications & External Relations at the Chartered ABS said:
“We are thrilled Tania has become Chair of the CMBE Professional Standards Board. The experience of professional standards and quality assurance that she has is outstanding. We look forward to working with Tania and our brilliant Board as participation in the CMBE, and its impact on learning and teaching, continues to grow both here in the UK and abroad.”
Tania takes over from our departing Chair, Adam Harper, Director of Strategy and Professional Standards from the Association of Accounting Technicians.
Barney said:
“We are very grateful to Adam Harper. His excellent leadership has guided the CMBE from its launch and through its inaugural years, giving the scheme an excellent platform upon which to support the teaching community in our business schools.”
The Certified Management & Business Educator supports business school educators to undertake professional development in teaching practice, on an ongoing basis, and provides professional recognition through the CMBE designation.
