Chartered ABS Chief Executive recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours

Anne Kiem, Chief Executive of the Chartered ABS and Executive Director of the Small Business Charter, has been awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to small businesses and entrepreneurs. It recognises her leadership of the Small Business Charter and advancing the fantastic support business schools provide to small businesses.
In response to the announcement, Anne has said "I am both delighted and honoured to have been awarded this Honour. It is a testament to the great work business schools are doing in supporting small businesses and start-ups, which are the engine house of the UK economy. Working with our great business schools is a joy and inspiration."
Anne joined the Chartered ABS in 2014, shortly after the Small Business Charter was launched. Under her stewardship the SBC has grown in scale and impact and is now held by 34 business schools across the nations of the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
The Chair of the Chartered ABS, Professor Julia Clarke, has extended her congratulations.

The Patron of the Small Business Charter and Chartered ABS Fellow, The Lord Young of Graffham CH, has also offered his commendations. As patron, The Lord Young has worked closely with Anne and the SBC Management Board, driving the SBC’s strategic direction and engagement with schools and the business community.
