Flora Hamilton appointed as new Chief Executive of Chartered Association of Business Schools

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Flora Hamilton as our new Chief Executive, following an extensive selection process. Recruitment took place after Anne Kiem stepped down from the role in December 2022.

Flora joins us from the CBI, where, since 2014, she has been responsible for leading the organisation’s policy work on financial services, both as an enabler of economic growth and as a critical sector in its own right. She has also been responsible for the CBI’s overall relationship management with the key UK and global players in the sector.

Flora will join us on 2 May 2023. The interim leadership team comprising of Barney Roe (Interim Chief Executive); Oliver Lowe (Interim Director of Business Development & Events); Roxanne Nazrudeen (Interim Executive Director for the Small Business Charter and Help to Grow); and Professor Martin Broad (leadership consultant) will continue in post in the meantime.

On her appointment, Flora Hamilton said:

“I very much look forward to representing and supporting the world-class business school members of the Chartered Association of Business Schools and will bring my experiences from leadership roles at the CBI, Public Relations Consultants Association and the ATM Industry Association. I will endeavour with the support of a great team to build upon the significant achievements of recent years and look to deepen collaboration and engagement with key stakeholders and the business community so that members are fully enabled to play their vital role in driving economic growth and sustainability.”
